Sheri D. Marquez, M.D.
Dr. Marquez is affiliated with the Santa Maria Radiation Oncology Center and recently joined Coastal from the Huntington Hospital. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Marquez earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a doctorate degree from University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). She was awarded a fellowship in pathology at UCSF during medical school as well. She completed her internship at Highland General Hospital and went on to pursue her residency training at Stanford University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident during her senior year. In 1999, Dr. Marquez was the recipient of the Resident of the Year award by the American Association for Women Radiologists (AAWR). Active in promoting breast health throughout the community, especially among Latina residents, Dr. Marquez regularly spoke on the topic to local organizations. Other special interests include the treatment of lung and brain malignancy as well as lymphoma. Dr. Marquez has recently published an article about long-term outcomes in Graves' patients treated with radiation.
